Ghana has been officially confirmed as the host nation for the 24th edition of the African Senior Athletics Championships, marking a significant milestone for the country’s sporting calendar, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The continental showpiece is scheduled to take place from May 12 to May 17 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra, where top athletes from across Africa are expected to converge to compete for honours.

The championship, organized under the auspices of the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA), will feature a wide range of track and field events, providing a platform for elite performers to showcase their talents on the continental stage.

Hosting the competition is seen as a major boost for Ghana’s athletics development and infrastructure, while also offering local fans the opportunity to witness high-level competition firsthand.
