Nigeria's Super Falcons and UDG Tenerife forward, Gift Monday, continues to make waves in Spain as she earns a nomination for the February Player of the Month award, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Monday has been in outstanding form for Tenerife, helping the club climb to sixth place in the league with 10 goals in 19 matches.

The 23-year-old currently sits third in the league’s scoring chart, trailing Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor by five goals and second-placed Edna Imade by two.

Also nominated for the award are Real Madrid’s Alba Redondo, Barcelona’s Caroline Hansen, Deportivo’s Ainhoa Marin, Bilbao’s Ane Azkona, Granada’s Ari Mingueza, and Eibar’s Elba Verges.

Now in her third season with the Spanish Iberdrola club, Monday continues to establish herself as a key player in the league.
