Gloria Obajimi Emerge Vice President Triathlon Africa

Triathlon Africa has appointed former Secretary-General of the Nigeria Triathlon Union, Dr Gloria Obajimi as a Vice President of the Confederation.

Gloria until this latest appointment previously served two terms as a female Representative on the Triathlon Africa Executive Committee.

The latest appointment was decided at the African Delegates’ meeting during the World Triathlon Congress in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The life President of the NTU, Dr Lanre Glover announced who this on November 26.

He congratulates Dr Obajimi as soon he received news of the appointment in Lagos.

With the latest appointment, at least Nigeria Triathlon Union has regained its position on the Executive Board of the Triathlon Confederation.

Meanwhile the President of NTU Dr Larry Glover also hailed the appointment, describing it as well deserved.

Gloria was a sprinter in her hay days in Athletics and participated as Nigeria’s top sprinter at the 1980 Moscow, Olympic Games. A retired lecturer in Sports Management, she has a PhD.
