Osun United and Kun Khalifa got their 2025 NNL Super 8 campaign off to strong starts with narrow 1-0 victories in their opening matches, placing them at the top of the standings after Matchday One, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Osun United edged past Warri Wolves with a hard-fought 1-0 win, while Kun Khalifa recorded a similar scoreline against Crown FC, who will now be looking to bounce back in their next outing.

Earlier in the day, the fixtures between Barau FC and Yobe Desert Stars, as well as Wikki Tourists and Doma United, ended in goalless stalemates, leaving all four teams with a point apiece.

Matchday Two is scheduled for Monday, with Yobe Desert Stars set to face Doma United at 9:00 a.m., followed by Barau FC against Wikki Tourists at 11:30 a.m. Kun Khalifa will take on Warri Wolves in the third fixture of the day at 2:00 p.m., while Crown FC, still in search of their first win, will challenge Osun United in the final match.

The NNL Super 8 tournament continues to serve as a crucial platform for promotion hopefuls aiming for a spot in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
