Nigerian sprint sensation Tima Godbless has secured qualification for the NCAA Championships after an impressive performance at the NCAA East Regionals in Kentucky, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite battling injuries for much of the season, Godbless delivered when it mattered most, producing a season's best time of 11.10 seconds (1.1 m/s) in the women's 100m quarterfinals.

The talented sprinter exploded out of the blocks and finished fifth in her heat, a result that proved enough to earn one of the coveted non-automatic qualification spots for the NCAA Championships.

Godbless' qualification is a significant achievement considering the challenges she has faced throughout the campaign, highlighting her resilience and determination on the track.

She will now turn her attention to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, where she will aim to continue her strong form and compete against the best collegiate athletes in the United States in two weeks' time.
