Gombe United Striker Seals Move To Mjallby AIF

Swedish Allsvenskan side Mjallby AIF have completed the signing of Nigerian star Yusuf Abdulazeez, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Gombe United forward bagged 16 goals in the Nigeria Professional Football League last season, to emerge as the third top scorer, joint with former Enyimba striker Victor Mboama in the second spot and fell three goals short behind winner, Rivers United Chijioke Akuneto.

"The 21-year-old striker joins from Gombe United of the NPFL. Mjällby AIF and Gombe United agree on a transfer fee for Yusuf," the club announced on Monday.

Yusuf, like every teenager, started his career with a grassroots club in Akure from where he moved to Zamfara State. It is from Zamfara that he sealed his move to the Savannah Scorpions, where he helped them to gain promotion to the NPFL two seasons ago.
