"Grant Can Take Us Back To The Top Of African Football" - FAZ President

The president of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), Andrew Kamanga, has said the newly appointed Avram Grant can take them back to the top of African football, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

The Chipolopolo of Zambia won the 2012 African Cup of Nations and since then faced with a downward spiral in football.

The former coach, Croatia's Aljosa Asanovic left his position in September due to a salary dispute.

Kamanga during Grant's unveiling said they believed with the former Chelsea coach in charge, Zambia can regain their lost glory in the continent.

"We believe that with the arrival of Avram Grant as coach of the Chipolopolo, we will return to the elite of African football, Mr Grant is a well-known figure around the world and has held some of the most prestigious positions before", he said.
