Nigeria's Super Eagles and Hadjuk Split defender Chidozie Awaziem has expressed his excitement following how the fans were shouting his name on Saturday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former FC Nantes player was the hero on Saturday as he scored the winning goal against Veradin and handed his team a 1-2 away win.

"Honestly, I'm very happy, it's hard for me to describe what I feel, but believe me, it's fantastic. 

"I am happy that I helped the team to win, this is what I want, Hajduk always wins, and I am here to do my best. 

"Hearing the whole stadium shouting my name was a great feeling. 

"They supported us until the very end of the game, they are excellent and I want to thank them for everything", he told the club media.
