Gusau’s NFF Leadership Earns Blueprint Excellent Performance Award

The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa MON, popularly known as Kigon Gusau, has been honoured with an Excellent Performance Award by the Blueprint Newspaper Publishing Company, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The award was presented to Gusau on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, in recognition of his leadership and contributions to the development of Nigerian football during his tenure as NFF President.

The award was presented by the Emir of Bida and Etsu Nupe, His Royal Highness Brigadier General Yahaya Abubakar (Rtd), CFR.

Speaking at the ceremony, the traditional ruler described Gusau as a “silent achiever” and expressed optimism that Nigerian football would continue to make progress under his leadership.

The ceremony attracted prominent personalities from across the country, including the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), serving and former governors, as well as other distinguished guests.

The recognition adds to the growing acknowledgment of Gusau’s leadership and efforts towards advancing Nigerian football and strengthening the administration of the sport in the country.
