Gwagwalada Football League Gets April 30 Kick off Date

The 2022 edition of the Gwagwalada Football League will begin on 30 April.

According to the organizers of the league, which is the foremost in FCT, Gwagwalada Football Council, the 23 registered teams have been divided into four groups.

Rising from the draws ceremony held recently in Gwagwalada, the Secretary of the Local Football Council, Nicholas Akujobi said the Group A will comprised of teams like NIIMA FC, Emirate FC, Cottage FC, Lions Heart FC, Justice FC and Young stars FC. While Group B will have the likes of Ejiwumi FC, D Royal FC, Medical Strikers FC, Diplomatic FC and Abu Dhabi FC. Catholic Cadet FC, Real Marshal FC, FC 20, Babayaro FC and Hopeland FC will slug it out in Group C. Kapital Waves, Inspirational FC, 2S FC, Golden Boys FC, Sheikhadam FC and Desert Warriors FC will fight for honours in Group D.

The Scribe further revealed that two teams are expected from each group to progress to the second round of the League which is expected to climax in August.
