Heartland Queens Target Adamawa’s Scalp As NWFL Returns

By Precious Oham

Heartland Queens will hope to cement their hands on the lead when they confront the wayfarers from Yola, Adamawa Queens in the NWFL Premiership matchday 8 clash on Wednesday, February 14 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Actions will resume for the second round of the NWFL as the Yola side won the first leg 2-1 in Gombe, the fixture clash that ended football hostilities in the first stanza of the topflight.

However, the reverse fixture on Wednesday is expected to be a different as the Owerri landladies are hoping to target a goal feast in order to hang on her leadership position.

Coach Obi Ogbala is somehow relieved with the return and availability of key players, who missed out of the first leg in Gombe.

Heartland Queens lead the eight-team group’s log on 11 points same as close challengers and new comers, Dannaz Ladies, Nasarawa Amazons and Confluence Queens on superior goals.
