Hertha Berlin To Unleash Chidera Ejuke Against West Brom

After completing a season long loan move to Hertha Berlin from CSKA Moscow, Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke could play in the colours of the German Bundesliga club in a pre-season game against West Brom on Saturday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ejike who has been in Germany sorting out personal things, on Thursday joined the senior team squad in their pre-season camp in England.

Hertha Berlin Managing Director for Sport, Fredi Bobic was full of praise for the Nigerian.

"All our new signings have been rich additions to our squad. We’re also pleased to finally have Chidera Ejuke join up with us. 

"He has missed out on some team meetings, but he has been present at training, so I’m not too worried about that. 

"It’s even possible that he gets some minutes on Saturday. Of course, it’s down to the head coach (Sandro Schwarz) to decide when it is the right time to bring him on.

"Chidera is a very lively player and adds to the competition for places on the wing. We have a wealth of talent out there now, and in a different way to how we did last season."

Recall the Berlin based team have lost two of their friendly matches since they arrived England.

Their first was a lone goal loss to Championship side Derby County last weekend and 3-1 defeat to Taiwo Awoniyi's Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.
