Highly Rated Forward, Ihekuna Arrives U23 Eagles Camp

Highly rated Nigerian born midfielder, Maxmillian Ihekuna, has arrived Nigeria to team up with the U23 Eagles ahead of Wednesday's CAF U23 African Nations; Cup qualifier against Guinea.
The 21-year old former Flomat FC Abuja, players touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 7:30 pm Saturday and moved straight into the team camp at Chida Hotel, Utako Abuja.
He arrived with Super Eagles winger, Simon Moses.
Maxmillian's presence is a big boost for Salisu Yusuf's U23 Olympic team with his impressive form in the Moldovan Division league as his goal was voted the Most Beautiful Goal of the 2021/22 Season in the Moldova National Division.
According to the survey by moodfootball.com, Maxmillian Ugochukwu in FC Sfintul Gheor's victory over Dinamo-Auto, 4-0, received 18% of the votes of the respondents to win the most beautiful goal of the season.
Having registered his name with his performance with former club, Codru FC, the Nigerian born sensational youngster worked the extra mile to register his name on the score sheet on two different occasions, one of which won the Most Beautiful Goal Award.Â
According to the votes, Dan Puscas' goal was voted second Most Beautiful Goal while Sergui Israti won the Third Most Beautiful Goal.
Since joining the Moldovan based outfit in 2021, Ugochukwu, the Flomat FC Academy graduate turned a household name in the league as his goal voted the best in the league. Ihekuna in 2020 completed his move to Codru FC. His excellent performance at the club saw him spent just one season before completing his move to FC Sfintul Gheor.
The U23 Eagles head coach extended invitation to 16 foreign based players as the camp is expected to be filled with other players today.
