Home-Based Nigerian Athletes Arrive Russia For Athletics Week

A select group of Nigeria’s home-based athletes have arrived in Europe to compete at the prestigious Athletics Week in Russia, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to reports, this is an initiative of the Djoumessi Sports Agency aimed at ensuring that emerging talents gain international exposure and experience.
Among the Nigerian athletes competing are Faith Osamuyi, who will compete in the women’s 60m hurdles and 100m hurdles on June 6 and 8 respectively.
Ronke Akanbi is set for the women’s 1500m and 3000m steeplechase, while Sofia Efetebore will feature in the women’s 60m and 100m sprints.
Musa Great is listed for the men’s 60m hurdles and 110m hurdles, and senior athlete Samson Nathaniel will compete in the men’s 400m while veteran coach Ojuola Ayinde is expected to guide the team.
