Hon. Kabiru Amadu Gifts Car, Tricycle, N8.5M Cash Prizes To Top Performers In Mai Palace Super Cup

Member of the House of Representatives for Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Sports, Hon. Kabiru Amadu (Mai Palace), has distributed football equipment and financial support to 100 grassroots football teams as part of his youth and sports development initiative in Zamfara State.

Before the commencement of the tournament, each team received a full set of kits, including match jerseys, training jerseys, boots, socks, footballs, and a transport stipend of ₦20,000.

In a deliberate move for grassroots football development and to discover young talented footballers, Hon. Amadu officially launched a new community football competition, the Mai Palace Super Cup, which will feature 36 teams drawn from all wards within the Gusau/Tsafe axis. The tournament will begin in Tsafe, with the grand finale scheduled to hold in Gusau.

To boost the morale of the participating teams, significant prize packages were also unveiled for the competition:

1. Champions – A car plus ₦2,000,000

2. Runners-up – A tricycle (Keke Napep) plus ₦1,000,000

3. Third Place – A motorcycle plus ₦500,000

4. Fourth Place – ₦500,000

5. Best Player – ₦1,000,000

6. Best Striker – ₦1,000,000

7. Best Goalkeeper – ₦1,000,000

8. Most Disciplined Player – ₦1,000,000

9. Best Coach – ₦500,000

Hon. Amadu noted that the governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Dauda Lawal, will be the special guest of honour at the final, alongside other prominent football stakeholders from within and outside Nigeria.

He expressed gratitude and prayed for the success of the initiative, saying, “May Allah bless our efforts. We are grateful to God.”
