Hope Rises For Nigeria Footballers As iLOT Extends Philantropic Gestures To Players
A gaming company in Nigeria, iLOT, on Saturday in Lagos raised hopes in talented young players by extending an unsual philantropic gestures to footballers with poor background to help them in their careers.
The gesture was well-captured in a sporting event orgainsed by the company in a community at Egbeda, a suburb of Lagos.
In the orgainsed football games which involved other events, selected teams played against each other and talents who were indentified were given training packages and have hopes for succesful careers. iLOT has succesfully secured a playing ground for easy access for footballers.
iLOT is a gaming company in Nigeria and seems they are ready to help Nigerian footballers realise their dreams following the sporting events this reporter witnessed at the Ebenezer Primary school at Egbeda LGA, Alimosho.
Football is a huge sport in Nigeria one which is keenly followed and played by Nigerians regardless of their age and status.
Hence, the reason iLOT Nigeria were involved this weekend at an event at the Ebenezer Primary school at Egbeda LGA, Alimosho.
There wer lot of youth in attendance, they were seen enjoying their football, smiling, and drinking, it was a fun-filled day, one the participant will not forget.
iLOT supported the youths with cash prizes, refreshments to mention but few.
One of the cash beneficiaries, Charles Olopade, can't contain his happiness at the cash prize, stating it will go a long way in helping him to actualize his dreams.
"I love playing football a lot," says Charles
"I know I can become a superstar as well like Victor Osimhen. His journey from the street to the global stage inspires me and I know I can also do it.
"One major issue I have had over the years is getting my kits, things are expensive, but with this cash, I will be able to get a football boot and more jerseys.
"I can't thank them enough, hopefully, when I achieve my dreams I can also do this to other people who need such help.
"I am grateful, thanks and God bless them."
This is a welcome development, hopefully, more companies will also support this kind of initiative and give back to the community just as they have done.
