Host Nation Morocco Cubs Book First Semi-final Ticket In 2023 AFCON U-23

The Atlas Cubs of Morocco representing the host of the ongoing U-23 Africa Cup Of Nations for 2023 have booked the first of four slots in the semi-finals, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The 2011 runner-ups secured qualification to the final four following a one-nil win over Congo after previously defeating Ghana and Guinea in the first two games, to bag nine maximum group stage points.
The head coach of Morocco's U-23 team - Issame Charaï, who is 41 years old fulfilled his promises to "count on everyone" and "maintain the winning spirit" earlier made in the pre-match conference before the Congo game yesterday.
Morocco has scored the most goals in the first round so far having scored eight times from six different scorers, as 21-year-old Abde Ezzalzouli leads the competition's chart with 3 goals alongside 2 assists.
The games for the final four will be played on Tuesday the 4th of July, before when all semi-finalists will have been drawn against one another.
