I knew About Eagles Invite A Few Months Ago- Fenerbahce Midfielder

Newly invited Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Bright Osayi-Samuel has revealed how he earned a call-up to the national team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Fenerbahce of Turkey player was one of the new players invited for the international friendly match against the Selecao of Portugal.

In a short video interview on NFFTV, the midfielder explained how Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro contacted his club coach to secure him for the national team.

"I'm delighted to be here, I've always dreamed to play for my country.

"I have the opportunity now to show what am all about.

"I knew about this opportunity a few months ago, the national team coach called my club coach because they knew each other to ask if I'm interested in playing for Nigeria.

"I'm Nigeria and I'm proud to be a Nigerian, so if the opportunity comes I'm ready, but my coach came to ask me if I want to play for the national team and I said I want to, I was also called by the Team Manager of the National team.

"I was born in Nigeria and moved to Spain briefly with my family then we moved to London.

" I want to give my best for the national team and show what I'm capable of and also make the team stronger", he said.
