I’m Aware Of The Expectations – Morocco Coach

Newly appointed Atlas Lions head coach Mohammed Ouahbi has admitted he understands the expectations surrounding his appointment and is determined to meet them, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ouahbi was officially unveiled on Thursday as the new head coach of the Morocco national football team, replacing Walid Regragui.

Speaking during his presentation to the media, the new manager expressed pride at being entrusted with the role and pledged to work diligently to maintain the progress made by the team in recent years.

“I am aware of the expectations, very honoured, and I am truly committed to working with seriousness and humility, with determination and above all with great patriotism to continue to develop this team,” Ouahbi said.

The tactician also emphasised the importance of stability within the squad, noting that he does not intend to make drastic changes despite recent disappointments.

“There is no revolution to be made. We have all experienced trauma as Moroccans. It was a complicated moment, this final, but I think what is super important is continuity,” he added.

Ouahbi now faces the task of guiding Morocco as they aim to build on their recent successes and remain competitive on both the African and global stage.
