World champion hurdler Tobi Amusan has stated that she never feels pressured whenever she steps onto the track to compete, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian athletics star has enjoyed a strong start to the 2026 season, delivering impressive performances at meets in Accra, Xiamen, and Rome.

Despite expectations that often accompany her status as one of the world's leading hurdlers, Amusan said her focus remains on executing her race plan rather than chasing fast times.

"For every time I step on the track, the plan is to execute, not necessarily looking forward to running crazy fast times," Amusan said.

"If it happens, it happens."

The former world champion has continued to demonstrate consistency throughout the season and remains one of Nigeria's brightest medal prospects ahead of major international competitions later in the year.
