Despite suffering defeat in the opening game, the captain of Nigeria's Female Yellow Greens Blessing Etim has said she's proud of the team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigeria lost to their Namibian counterpart by 9 runs on Sunday and Etim believed the team was just unlucky in the game.

 “We had a good start but it’s just unfortunate we didn’t win, but I’m proud of the players we all did our best,” she told Punch Correspondent.

Nigeria's next game will be against Rwanda on Tuesday.
