ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier: We Are Satisfied With Our Performance Despite... - NCF President

The president of the Nigeria Cricket Federation Mr Uyi Akpata has said they are satisfied with the performance of the Yellow Greens despite crashing out the 2024 International Cricket Council World Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Yellow Greens arrived in Windhoek, Namibia brimming with confidence after they emerged as the winner of the West African Trophy Tour in Lagos.

But it was never meant to be as they lost the large chunk of the game they played in Namibia.

While reacting to the team's performance, Akpata hailed the players for their resilience and believed they would do better future.

"Through our participation, we have announced our arrival as a cricket-playing nation.

"We competed squarely against Kenya, Uganda, and Zimbabwe and lost respectfully. 

"We beat Tanzania, who were ahead of us and we were firmly in control of the Rwanda match before rain disrupted it and caused us to share points", he said.
