Hannes Stiller, the Sporting Director of Swedish club IFK Göteborg, has disclosed the reasons behind the termination of Nigerian forward Suleiman Abdullahi’s contract, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Abdullahi and the club mutually agreed to part ways. "Sulle" faced difficulties due to ongoing injuries, and despite efforts, neither he nor the club felt they had fully maximised their potential together.

"We part as very good friends," said Stiller. "Sulle is a great guy, and we wish him all the best in his next club."

The 28-year-old forward joined Blåvitt from Bundesliga side Union Berlin in 2022.

Over his time at the club, Abdullahi played 30 matches and scored one goal.
