Coach Fidelis Obi's team defeated Congo 37-18 but lost out on the head-to-head rule.

Guinea in their final game defeated Madagascar 51-32 to secure a 100 per cent record and go 8 points clear of Nigeria.

The victory qualified Guinea for the International trophy slated for Costa Rica country from June 20-July 2nd, 2023.
