IHF Intercontinental Trophy: Coach Nnamani Announces Final List, As Team Depart For Costa Rica.

Ahead of the 2023 International Handball Federation U18 Intercontinental Trophy Nigeria team coach Emeka Nnamani has announced the final list for the competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Male handball team has been having their camping at the Rowe Park Sports Center in Lagos.

Many of the players were players that are core of the team that participated in the Africa Zone 3 tournament in Ivory Coast and the continental tournament in Congo Brazzaville.

Nigeria, who are the African champions in the under-18 male categories, are participating in the championship for the second time in history after they finished second in the 2019 edition which was held in Pristina, Kosovo with Nigeria losing slimly to Chinese Taipei 27-26 in the final.

The Coach Emeka Nnamani tutored side will be playing in a round-robin competition against the likes of Georgia, Guadaloupe, Nicaragua and Tahiti with the first match to be played on March 8, 2023, against Nicaragua.

The Nigerian side is expected to depart for the Costa Rica venue of the championship on Sunday.
