Nigeria's handball team in the early hours of Friday confronted Guadalupe in the IHF Intercontinental Trophy currently going on in Costa Rica and rallied back to secure a valuable draw, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The Nigerian side in its first game comfortably defeated Nicaragua.

The national under-18 male handball team started the match poorly and paid dearly for not taking their chances amidst several turnovers and deservedly lost the first half 19-13 to the impressive Guadalupe.

But then Nigeria came back smoking in the second half after some tactical switch by Coach Emeka Nnamani as Azeez Olaitan Suliamon became a vital player in the second consecutive game.

Nigeria had a 19-13 win in the second half which ensured that Nigeria got a vital 32-32 draw with Guadalupe.

The team Nigeria are third on the log with 3 points same as Guadalupe but with fewer goals than their opponent who are second and just a point behind leader Georgia who has 4 points.

Nigeria's next game will be against Tahiti later on Friday.
