IHF Trophy: Suliamon Wins Man Of The Match In Nigeria's Thrilling Draw Against Guadalupe

Nigerian U18 handball star Azeez Olaitan Suliamon was voted the Player of the Match against Guadalupe at the International Handball Federation (IHF) Trophy Intercontinental Phase 2023 in Costa Rica, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
The Nigerian has now won the award for the second time in two matches with the first one being Nigeria's opening match against Nicaragua.
Nigeria, after a poor start, rallied to earn a point against Guadeloupe (32:32) in the first draw at the event in San Jose. Notably, Guadeloupe were in front 19:13 at half-time and 32:29 with four minutes to go, but Nigeria showed character to salvage a point.
The results leaves Nigeria with their first draw of the campaign having won their opening fixture against Nicaragua 46-30.
Georgia, who had a rest day, led the race with four points. Nigeria and Guadeloupe are on three points, Nicaragua have two points, and the last-placed Tahiti have lost all their three encounters.
