IMC Releases Full Schedule for NPFL Super Six Playoffs

The draws for the Nigeria Premier Football League Super Six playoff round have been completed, and the fixtures being revealed by the Interim Management Committee, bsnsports.com.ng reports. 

The Super Six round of games will run through five MatchDays with the kickoff timeline ranging from 2 pm, 4 pm, to 6 pm, on each day. 

NPFL Defending champions - Rivers United were pitted against Akure-based Sunshine Stars, as the undefeated Bendel Insurance battle Lobi Stars, while the game between Remo and Enyimba completes the program for Matchday One. 

Recall that the playoffs grouped all six teams into two, with the likes of Remo Stars, Bendel Insurance, and Enyimba in Group A, while Rivers United, Lobi Stars, and Sunshine Stars made up Group B. 

The playoff will see all six teams play in a round-robin format of five games each, with the team with the most point garnered becoming the ultimate champion for the 2023 Abridged NPFL campaign. 

The standings of the playoffs also determine which teams will feature in CAF competitions for the 2023-24 season, with the top three gaining automatic qualification to the Champions League, while the fourth-best team and the winner of the Federation Cup will stroll into the Confederation Cup together.
