ITTF African Cup: Why I Lost To Omar Assar - Aruna Quadri

Nigeria Table Tennis star Aruna Quadri has opened up on why he lost to the Egyptian star Omar Assar in the final of the 2023 ITTF African Cup in Kenya, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Aruna who has a decent outing in the semi-final lost to Assar 4-1 (8-11,13-15,7-11,11-9,7-11) in the final game played at the Moi international Sports Centre in Kasarani.

The African top-ranked player said he should have exercised patience in the game.

“I think I did my best but it was one of those days. Things were not really working for me.

Table tennis is a game of chances and you have to charge from the word go.

“I should have been more patient with the game,” Aruna said.
