ITTF Youth Championship: Nigeria Pulls Out Due To Funds

Even though they've prepared adequately for the tournament, it has now been confirmed that Team Nigeria in Table tennis will not participate in the upcoming ITTC World Youth Championship, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The President of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation Engr Tikon Ishaku confirmed the decision during a chat with Brila FM Radio.

He made it clear that lack of funds is the main reason Nigeria will not partake in the event.

Engr Tikon said they did what they could to get funds from the Sports Ministry but everything proved abortive.

He further confirmed his sadness about the decision but stated that it was the only option left.
