Rivers Angels goalkeeper, Oloko Fatima, confirmed that she wanted to be a news reporter but ended up being a footballer, BSNSports.com.ng report.
Speaking with our correspondent on his Sport show Sport Gallery with Faith Akindele( Mr stereo) on Crowther 88.5 FM, Oloko Fatima said, "it was not easy from the beginning because I wanted to be a journalist before someone called and introduced me to football because of my height which I took the opportunity
Though my parents never supported me but before my daddy died, he a change of mind and my mum was proud of me because I stood on my ground and here I am today making the dream come through.
She further called on fellow gender facing similar issue to be focused and determined .
The Rivers Angels Goal keeper also said her dream is to be invited into the female U20 national team and as well the Super Falcons team, also she confirms that she is not ruling out a move to Europe possible this year.
Fatima promised the fans of Rivers Angels that her team is really working hard to finish high this season as she called on government to look into the salary of the female players and advised the government that the salary can be made up to 80/100% and not like 10/100% . Because the men earn much more than them.
