The president of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation Daniel Igali has confirmed that he will not run for the position when his tenure ends next year, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Olympic Gold medalist made his intention known on Wednesday in Delta State while speaking to the reporter. "I am not contesting for Presidency of Wrestling Federation. This is my final term as President. " Daniel Igali told Journalists in Asaba " I served as Federation President for 12 years and I was not given 50 Kobo all through the 12 years", he added. The presence of Igali has propelled Nigerian wrestling to the World level and several stars were discovered during his tenure.
