Nigeria's Super Eagles duo of Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi, and other Leicester City players will have their salaries slashed by up to 50 percent if they suffer relegation from the Premier League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Foxes have been struggling since the start of the season and there is a possibility that the team might go down at the end of the season.

After posting record pre-tax losses of £92.5 million earlier this year, some supporters have been fearing further financial pain with Leicester’s squad not having relegation reductions in their contracts.

However, the clauses are believed to be between 35 and 50 percent for all players and it is normal procedure for the majority of Premier League clubs.

Leicester has already scrapped the club’s annual awards presentation because officials believe it to be inappropriate in the current circumstances.
