Iheanacho Hails Harry Maguire After Man Utd Heroics

Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho has responded to Harry Maguire's message on social media after the former Foxes star scored the winning goal for Manchester United on Tuesday night in the UEFA Champions League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The centre-back moved to Old Trafford from City in a reported £80million deal in August 2019. He made over 70 appearances for Leicester across a two-and-a-half-year period after joining from Hull.

But the England international has struggled badly for the Red Devils in recent seasons. Maguire has seen his game time limited under United manager Erik ten Hag with the defender struggling to regain the form he demonstrated during his time at the King Power Stadium.

However, the 30-year-old has put in some impressive performances in recent games for United with a man-of-the-match performance on Saturday against Sheffield United. He then scored the winning goal for the Red Devils against FC Copenhagen in the Champions League on Tuesday in a 1-0 win.

And after the match, Maguire shared his delight at helping his current side secure a vital win in Europe's elite competition. The win puts United a point behind second-placed Galatasaray in their Champions League group.

"A knight to remember," he said on Instagram followed by emojis of a love heart and a rose. And in response, Iheanacho commented: "Haryyyy" followed by a love heart emoji.
