Iheanacho Scores, Ndidi Gifts Man City Penalty In Leicester City Defeat

It was mixed feelings for the Nigeria international duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi on Saturday evening as their club Leicester City suffered a 3-1 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, BSNSports.com.ng report.

John Stone opened the scoring in the 5th minute before Ndidi committed a foul in the box and a spot kick was awarded to the home side.

Erling Haaland beautifully scored the spot kick and made it 2-0 for the host in the 13th minute of the game.

The Norwegian international completed his brace in the 25th minute as the Citizen ended the first half with a comfortable 3-0 lead.

Iheanacho who started the game on the bench was brought in for Thomas in the 45th minute and his presence gave the Foxes more threat upfront.

He finally reduced the deficit for the Foxes in the 75th minute before Patson Daka replaced Ndidi in the 87th minute.

Iheanacho almost made it 3-2 in the 92nd minute but his efforts hit the crossbar, as the game ended 3-1 in favor of the defending Premier League champions.
