Former Enyimba International head coach Kadiri Ikhana has revealed the reasons Nigeria Professional Football League clubs crashed out of the CAF inter-clubs competitions, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Both Remo Stars and Kwara United crashed out completely from the Confederation Cup while champions Rivers United and Plateau United dropped from the Champions League to the Confederation Cup.

While speaking on the radio program on Citizens 93.7 FM, Ikhana exonerated the clubs and blamed the league organiser for the woeful performance of the teams.

"The question we should ask ourselves is do we have a league? For now, we don't have a league, we only have teams, for instance, other countries have started their leagues many months ago but we don't even when we will resume.

"Let's leave the coaches and the players aside, the organiser of the league is making a good arrangement for the league to be upright.

"Look at Rivers United and Plateau United they have no time to prepare, they even tried I expect them to crash out in the preliminary round.

"All these North African teams are well prepared. For instance, go and check the bank account of some big clubs in Nigeria e.g Enyimba, Rivers United, Plateau United etc I can assure you that you won't meet N10 million in their account.

"The issue is that we are not organised and if the league is not organised the teams can't be organised.

"So put the clubs aside and don't blame them, blame the league organiser, they should put their house in order, and they should play the game properly from their office," he said.
