Praise Ikweki has won Nigeria's first medal at the ongoing African U18/U20 Championships in Abeokuta.

He earned a bronze medal in the U18 High Jump event,  BSNSports.com.ng sourced from Making of Champions.

Ikweki faced a challenging competition but persevered on his last attempt, clearing a height of 2.03 meters, which was enough to secure his spot on the podium.

Another Nigerian athlete, Melvin Oddo, also competed in the category but did not manage to reach the podium.
