Despite taking a one-goal lead into the 2nd leg of the final qualifying round of the CAF Champions League, Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu is expected to ring changes to his starting 11 against Esperance on Saturday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The NPFL side landed in Tunis safely on Thursday, after leaving Nigeria on Wednesday night en route to Turkey for the matchup against four-time champion Esperance.

Leading the delegation of 37 that arrived at the Carthage International Airport in Tunis, was the Plateau State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Daniel Dung Dalyop, who was joined by his predecessor Victor Lapang and the club's General Manager Pius Henann.

Except for Douglas Eru, who was substituted for Mustapha Abdullahi for tactical reasons, nearly every player who participated in the 1st

leg in Abuja that travelled.

Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu may make changes to the team in achieving that goal after promising to deploy an offensive formation against the Tunisian powerhouse.

Plateau United has set a goal of making it to the group stage of the competition this year after failing to get past the second round of the African flagship club competition in their previous two efforts.

To advance to the lucrative group round of the competition, Plateau United must avoid defeat, a quest that appears titanic on paper given the calibre of their host.

The game will take place on Saturday at Tunis's renowned Rades Stadium.
