Imo Governor Donates Coaster Buses To State-Owned Football Teams

Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma on Saturday presented coaster buses to the state-owned football teams, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The governor donated Heartland FC a Coaster and a Splinter bus to fulfill his promise to the club.

He presented the keys to the vehicles to the club's Technical Manager, Emmanuel Amuneke in the presence of the Commissioner of Sports, Obinna Onyeocha.

In the same vein, the governor equally donated a new coaster bus to Heartland Queens Football Club.

The gesture comes as part of Governor Uzodimma’s commitment to supporting the “Owerri Landladies” ahead of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premier League season.

Speaking on behalf of the teams, the Commissioner for Sports expressed profound gratitude to the governor.

He assured him of the teams’ commitment to delivering stellar performances and making the state proud.

“This is a remarkable gesture that has uplifted the morale of both teams. With this renewed support, we are confident that Heartland Queens and Heartland FC will excel and bring trophies home to Imo State."
