U-17 Nigeria female national team Coach Bankole Olowookere has praised the efforts of his players after they defeat Ethiopia 1-0 in the ongoing FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup African qualifying series, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Coach Bankole disclosed via telephone conversation with BSNSports.com.ng that the girls showed a great character all through the game to earn a victory at Abebe Bekila Stadium in Addis Ababa.
“I want to thank my players for the way they played. They were composed with listening instructions all through and i must confess that if they continue with how they approached the game against Ethiopia, they will surely win the second leg of the qualifiers,†Bankole stated.
“The girls will continue to work hard and pray for the second leg at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.â€
However, Flamingos will squeal up against Ethiopian ladies at MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Saturday, 4th June with the winner on aggregate qualifying as one of Africa’s three representatives at this year’s FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup finals in India.
