Injured Lookman Gets New Rival At Atalanta

Atalanta hitman and reigning African Footballer of the year, Ademola Lookman will be facing fresh rivalry in Italy if report published via the club official website is anything to go by, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Atalanta on announcing it’s new signing, Daniel Madini, stated the 24 year-old Italian has officially joined the Europa League champion on permanent deal and he’s likely to fill the void of Lookman who is currently nursing a knee injury.
It was also gathered Madini, who has inspired former side, AC Milan to various league outings will be aiming similar feat in absence of the Super Eagles striker.
“ Atalanta BC are glad to announce the permanent signing of 23-year-old forward Daniel Maldini from AC Monza.
Born in Milan on 11 October 2001, Daniel climbed up the AC Milan Youth Academy ladders all the way to his First Team debut, which occurred on 2 February 2020 in front of the San Siro crowd on the occasion of the Serie A game played against Hellas Verona.
Upon reaching First Team status for the Rossoneri Club in the 2020-2021 campaign, Daniel collected 5 Serie A caps and made 4 more international appearances on the UEFA Europa League stage,” the statement reads.
Before sustaining an injury, Lookman netted 10 matches and recorded 5 assists in his last 19 matches of the season. He last featured and netted a 78 minutes winner during his side 1-2 victory away to Como.
