Anthony Mandrea has been ruled out of the international friendly against Nigeria billed for the Algerian town of Oran on Tuesday, September 27, after he sustained an injury, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Just like the Super Eagles, the Desert Foxes have now had their fair share of injury woes going into the game between the former AFCON champions.

The Desert Foxes are set to take on the Super Eagles at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium, Oran.

Injury on the French-born goalkeeper who plays for French Ligue 2 side Caen, broke barely 24 hours after Belmadi unveiled his 24-man squad for the international friendlies against Guinea and Nigeria.

Mandrea, who won his first cap for Algeria in a tune-up game against Iran in June, was hoping for another second either against Guinea or Nigeria.

Meanwhile, MC Alger goalkeeper Farid Chaal has been called up by coach Djamel Belmadi to complete the squad after Mandrea's injury.

The slender (1m99) 28-year-old shot stopper who passed through the youth selection, has not yet played any match with Algeria A team.

Since the start of the season, Farid Chaal has conceded three goals in five games with the MCA, his club announced.
