Injury Update: I Will Be Back Stronger - Boniface

Injured Nigeria International and Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface has said is focussed on being back stronger, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Boniface was ruled out of the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast due to an injury he sustained while in the Super Eagles camp in Abu Dhabi.

He underwent a successful surgery and he has commenced his rehabilitation in Germany at the BayArena.

" Yeah It was, they gave the news and when we found out, it was terrible for me to miss out on the AFCON and also some games in the Bundesliga.

But that is football, we expect these things, it's important for me just to remember to stay focused and come back stronger", he said.

Despite moving to the Bundesliga club last summer, Boniface has become a household name at Leverkusen.
