Injury Update: Awoniyi To Resume Training Next Week

The manager of the English Premier League club, Nottingham Forest, Steve Cooper has said the injured Nigerian forward, Taiwo Awoniyi will return to the team training next week, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The lanky striker missed the two international friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique due to injury.

Ahead of this weekend's league match against Luton Town, Cooper confirmed that Awoniyi will resume training next.

 â€œTaiwo Awoniyi is progressing well, he’s not far off some training so let’s see how the next week goes", he said.

The 26-year-old is the Reds’ top scorer this season, with Forest failing to hit the back of the net without him last time out against Palace.
