Injury Update: Balogun To Miss Rest Of The Season

The manager of the English Championship side Queens Park Rangers Gareth Ainsworth has confirmed that Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun will miss the rest of the season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The lanky centre-back joined the club last summer after the expiration of his contract with the Scottish side Rangers.

His season at Loftus Road has been affected by the incessant injuries and it's yet to be seen if he's going to stay beyond this season at the club.

“We have got a very good squad available now and did not pick any injuries up at Burnley which was brilliant,” Ainsworth told reporters.

“Only Ossie Kakay and Leon Balogun will be out for the rest of the season and I am gutted for them as they are both brilliant professionals", the coach said on Friday.

Balogun made 12 league appearances and scored once for the club.
