Inter Chases Antwerp’s George Ilenikhena

Italian Serie A champions Inter are in hot pursuit of signing Antwerp’s teenage striker George Ilenikhena, BSNSports.com.ng has sourced.
The 17-year-old is eligible to play for both Nigeria and France and only joined the Belgian side in the summer from French club Amiens SC. He cost the defending Pro League champions €6m, but should fetch plenty more if he is sold in the summer. Ilenikhena is currently under contract until 2027.
It is understandable why a club like Inter would be interested in the young forward. He is physically imposing for a teenager and has displayed plenty of ability so far this season. The teenager has scored 14 goals in 45 games for the team, including one in the Champions League. He has been a vital player in the club's back-to-back cup final runs, with five goals in five games during the competition. The forward has mainly played as a substitute, with his only Champions League goal coming off the bench, in a dramatic win against Barcelona.
