International Friendly: Akpoguma, Awoniyi Return To Super Eagles As Peseiro Invites 25 Players

Ahead of the International friendly match against Desert Foxes of Algeria, Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has invited 25 players for the game, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

The Nigeria Football Federation on Saturday posted the list of invited players on Super Eagles Twitter handle.

Notable among the list of the invited players are the return of Hoffenheim of Germany defender, Kevin Akpoguma and Taiwo Awoniyi of Nottingham Forest.

Akpoguma last played for the country during the qualifier to the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon while Awoniyi has been out of the team since the country's ouster from the same tournament's finals in Cameroon.

Inform FC Lorient attacker, Terem Moffi who has scored six goals this season was also Included in the list.

Newly acquired Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika was the only new player invited into the team.

Onyedika joined the Belgian Jupiler league side this summer after an amazing performance for Danish side FC Midtjylland last season.

The match is slated for Oran in Algeria on September 27th.
