International Friendly: Boost For Super Falcons As Plumptre Regains Fitness

Ahead of the International doubleheader friendly matches against Canada, it was good news for Super Falcons manager, Randy Waldrum, as defender Ashleigh Plumptre regained fitness, BSNsports.com.ng report.


The Leicester City defender was one of the star performers in the final qualifier against Ivory Coast and is touted to be among the players that will be summoned for the matches.


She was replaced in the match against Chelsea after having a collision with the opposing player.


She was unable to recover in time for team training during the week but was available for the game on Sunday.


Plumptre's name appeared first on the list against Arsenal in Sunday and was in action as Leicester suffered a whopping 0-5 loss.


The friendly games against Canada is slated for May as thru continue their preparations for the 2022 African Women Cup of Nations in Morocco
