Canada's defender Shelina Zadorsky is excited to have helped her team to a respectable result against Nigeria, BSNsports.com.ng gathered

The exciting defender brought her side level after they went down to Super Falcons courtesy of a free-kick goal from Ifeoma Onumonu.

Reacting after the match, Zadorsky said expressed how excited she is to have scored in the keenly contested game.

" As a defender, I’m disappointed we didn’t get a clean sheet but we kept fighting right until the very end.

“I’ve been trying to be an absolute threat on set pieces. It felt great to get us back in the game," she said.

After winning the first game on Friday, Canada has to rally back to secure a draw against the African champion.
