Ahead of the doubleheader international friendly match against the United States Women national team, eight home-based and technical crew members have departed the country, BSNsports.com.ng understands.
The eight home-based players were invited for the match against the current World champions.
Four players from Falconets : Tosin Demehin, Rofiat Imuran, Deborah Abiodun and Esther Onyenezide were among the players that departed the country on Wednesday afternoon.
They will be joined in the US by other 14 foreign-based players invited for the match which will take place in Kansas City and Washington, D.C.
The game is a preparatory game for the upcoming World Cup as both countries continue their readiness for the showpiece.
Nigeria just like the United States has secured their spot in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup that will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
